I’m McKenzie; I have been on staff for 4 years now. I enjoy being outside, usually either hiking or finding a place to chill in a hammock. I’ve always had a passion for writing and photography. When I started high school, I started dreaming about backpacking while writing a story and taking pictures of where I go. My goal is to be able to backpack the Appalachian Trail and then the Rocky Mountains. Being on the newspaper has been a great experience of learning different styles of writing in the journalism field, and I plan on using my journalism skills sometime in my life.
As a senior this year, my goal is to leave a mark on Etowah and spread positivity and kindness to the younger ones. Dream on, kiddos. Colorado, here I come. (Hopefully)
