If you have a poopy jacket or Doc Martens, you may be a victim of the Emma Chamberlain effect. As most teens know, Emma Chamberlain is a budding social media influencer who is rubbing off on many of her fans on Instagram, YouTube, and Twitter.  

“She [Emma Chamberlain] is a teenage celebrity and she inspires all my friends. She is slowly but surely changing the way that fashion looks,” Erin Aycoth, freshman, said. 

Between her iconic style and silly YouTube videos, teens all around the world are raving about Emma Chamberlain.  

“Emma Chamberlain influences me in a funny and good way. She is fun to watch and easy to understand,” Ally Zazzara, sophomore, said. 

Chamberlain’s vintage style has encouraged her fans to shop at thrift stores and other popular chains such as Brandy Melville and Urban Outfitters. 

“Since she became super popular, I have noticed that a lot of people in my school have been dressing like Emma Chamberlain,” Emma Davis, freshman, said.  

Many viewers say that Chamberlain’s relaxed and genuine YouTube videos inspire them to be themselves.  

“Her videos are so relatable, and she is a really practical person about her problems, so I think it’s good for teens to know everything isn’t picture perfect,” Riley Corona, sophomore, said.
