A ho-ho-whole lot of Christmas specials
As the air gets colder and Starbucks starts serving its holiday drinks, watching Christmas specials is a fun holiday pastime for many people. Whether you are choosing a new tree, or dusting off the one in the attic, every family likes to snuggle up on the couch watching “The Santa Clause“ or “Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer” . However, there are a plethora of festive specials other than just “Elf” and “Frosty the Snowman.“
Two of the lesser known specials are the 2002 television shorts “Hooves of Fire“ and “Legend of the Lost Tribe“, both staring Robbie the Reindeer. Both are hilarious takes on the reindeer of the North Pole featuring the voices of Ben Stiller, Britney Spears and Jeff Goldblum. They are short movies that will have the family laughing out loud, and you can watch them online for free.
If you are looking for something a bit more action-packed this Christmas, but do not want to go with “Home Alone” you can always watch “The Flash” (2014-) episode “Running to Stand Still“ or the “Batman: The Animated Series” episode “Christmas with the Joker.“ Both are similar, involving super villains played by Mark Hamil that terrorize a city during the holiday season with great action and emotional character moments in-between. “Running to Stand Still“ is on Netflix while “Christmas with the Joker“ is found online.
So whether Rudolph or Robbie will reign dear at your house this season, the Talon staff wishes you the happy holidays.
