Apple and Samsung came back this fall with their newest smartphones, designed to attract those with a desire for bigger screens, faster downloads, better cameras and much more.

Apple’s latest phone-tablet, the iPhone 6S Plus, offers up to 5.5 inch display just like 2014’s introductory iPhone 6 Plus. However, the iPhone 6S Plus brings new features, such as a faster processor, faster Touch ID, and new 3D Touch display technology.

Samsung’s Galaxy S6 Edge Plus, has a big 5.7 inch curved display, 8-core processor, and more RAM than ever.

The Galaxy S6 Edge weighs less than the iPhone 6S Plus and holds 4GB compared to Apple’s 2GB. The Galaxy S6 Edge also has a curved display. The edges of the phone hardware are curved. This adds a unique visual effect, but it also makes the large phone hard to securely grasp and makes it prone to damage when dropped.

The battery lasts for 12 hours on the Galaxy and 10 hours for the iPhone. The Galaxy’s rear camera is also more advanced than that of the newest iPhone.

The iPhone 6S Plus features 3D Touch, offering new gesture and touch controls. Essentially, the iPhone reacts differently depending on how forceful a push someone makes on the device. Pressure amounts range from a light tap to a forceful push.

Finally, the price for both phones is steep. The Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge costs roughly $780, while the iPhone 6S Plus costs $750 but only with a two-year contract.
