It seems many stores and people have overlooked Thanksgiving and jumped to Christmas or Black Friday instead.

The transition of holidays can be insane, especially the jump from Halloween to Christmas. Thanksgiving seems to have disappeared and took all the decorations along with it.

It is November, and yet it is beginning to look a lot like Christmas. There are barely any Thanksgiving decorations around, but there still are traces of Halloween decorations left.

Not only does Thanksgiving have to fight for it’s rightful spotlight with Black Friday but now Christmas has joined the battle.

Holidays are made to take a break and come one at a time yet this year it appears to be Christmas in November. The spirits of Christmas and Saint Nicholas have deemed December the month of Christmas cheer but the cheer has leaked over to the month of the Turkey.

The issue with Christmas overlapping Thanksgiving is the sole purpose of Thanksgiving is to give thanks to all the things you have not start wishing for the things you want.

Some may argue that Thanksgiving does not really need decorations, but no one wants to sit around a plain table, while dishing out political views; that is what other family gatherings are for.

So what happened to all the Happy Harvest decorations, and the cornucopias, mini pilgrim salt and pepper shakers?

Nordstrom’s, a fashion store,  says they are holding off on putting Christmas decor out until after Black Friday. The store was praised on social media for not falling into the early Christmas trap.

Although it seems a few stores have not fallen victim of the sound of “Jingle Bells” and “Rocking around the Christmas tree”, countless numbers of big named store have

Is this really a good thing though? Should all stores be doing this?

Inventory plays a big role in this, as some stores have to set out some Christmas decorations early in order to make a big enough profit before the end of the year.

As more stores are starting to recognize Thanksgiving as a holiday, it still doesn’t stop them from putting out Christmas decorations either before, or alongside the Thanksgiving ones.

Santa should still be on vacation not sitting on store shelves or reading lists of Christmas wishes just yet.
