The sheer volume of extracurricular activities at Etowah can make it difficult for any one to be noticed, but senior Nikki Reid is working to get the Art Club more recognition through her Senior Capstone.

“[I chose this] to help advertise the club around school and represent it,” Reid said.

Reid has been in the Art Club for two years. She always enjoyed it and thought others would too if they knew it existed, so she decided to promote the club by designing t-shirts as part of her Senior Capstone. Reid knew that in the future she wanted to design logos, and designing the t-shirts gave her that experience and helped her learn how to use graphic design.

“I wanted to do something with logos, so this was the perfect opportunity to attempt to do something I’d want to do in the future,” Reid said.

Despite not being completely finished, the promotion of the shirts has gotten the club more recognition, and Reid has learned a lot more about the field she hopes to go into in the future. For those interested in buying a shirt, see the Art Club adviser Shannah Dean in room 7103.
