Shooting for a good season
With a new school year comes a new season of Etowah Eagles Television (EETV), and this season’s staff has big plans. This year, EETV wants to continue highlighting students, teachers, and faculty of Etowah.
“We [Etowah] have a bunch of good students that we want to show off,” Linda Yunker, Audio and Video teacher, said.
Yunker is the only industry certified Audio and Video teacher in Cherokee County, and over the summer, she attended a conference where she learned more about B-roll shooting which is transcribing interviews to attach sound bites over news pieces.
“Everyone is working on their piece and making their deadlines, and it all comes together,” Yunker said.
Yunker’s interns and executive producers this year are seniors Caitlyn Radtke and John Bahamonde. The two oversee all production and make sure their staff stays on task.
“Working with everyone and listening to their ideas is really great,” Radtke said.
The staff’s goal is to improve on its overall quality this semester. EETV’s new opening, inspired by TV intros from the seventies, includes the entire staff and premieres at the beginning of each episode.
“These are the people; these are the faces of EETV,” Yunker said.
