Freshman: Ryan Lofland
What is your favorite part about being an Eagle?
My favorite part of school would be going to band class or having marching band after school. I love being around music and spending time laughing with my friends.
What is your favorite subject and why?
Well, I would say band, but that isn’t a subject. I would say my favorite subject would be social studies because you can learn so much about the world that you live in. You can learn about why there are so many restaurants in your community, to why people are so controversial to a certain topic around the world. You can learn so many cool, interesting things that you can use in your everyday life.
As of now, what career do you see yourself pursuing?
As of right now, I dream to become a high school or middle school band director. I love being around and playing music so much, and I love to help people around my school and community. I honestly couldn’t see myself in the future without teaching music.
What clubs/sports are you involved in at Etowah?
Right now, I am in the marching band, I’m the freshman treasurer for the Student Government, I’m on the JV tennis team, and I’m also working towards earning a community service varsity letter.
If were you to go anywhere in the world, where would you go and why?
Honestly, I have no clue where I would want to go. Maybe I go to Italy because they have many amazing historical sites and some colleges have amazing study abroad programs that travel to Italy.
