A welcome addition
A new Eagle has flown into the nest at Etowah East determined to help students and parents understand the gist of how Etowah’s school system works. Beth Garriques, East’s new front office clerk, communicates with teachers, helps students, and provides information to the rest of the Eagle community.
“It is a privilege to get the chance to help out the school,” Garriques said.
Before Garriques started her first year here, she was a media center clerk for four years at Creekview High School. She decided to pursue the job here when her position at Creekview was eliminated.
“I love Etowah so far. It has been very welcoming,” Garriques said.
Outside of being a clerk, Garriques enjoys playing tennis with her friends, running, and reading in her free time. She is also busy with her three sons and her husband.
“I like spending time with my family and friends by doing fun activities,” Garriques said.
Look for Garriques’s bright smile welcoming people into Building B of Etowah East.
