Unlike most high school students, Amanda Conklin has always gotten straight A’s and is very involved in school, considering she is in marching band with future plans to join the golf team.

Since her schedule is full at school, she decided to take online Latin so she can get a language out of the way instead of waiting.

Conklin was forced to stop gymnastics after ten years due to a wrist condition that hurts when she works it too much. In fact, she has broken her right wrist two times. ” I miss gymnastics a lot, it took some time to get used to,” Conklin, freshman, said.

Being close to her family is important because she spends the most time with her parents and shares a close bond with them.

” I miss seeing my sister all the time, but I am glad she is doing what she wants.” Conklin, said.
