Freshman Alina Frederick has a passion for God, friends, and sunsets. This year she joins the Talon, Etowah’s newspaper, to try something new and share her writing with others.

“Most of my classes are easy, but I struggle in math and Spanish”, she said.

Frederick’s dream school is Clemson University for academics, but more specifically, for her interest in fashion and design. Her outgoing personality shines through her love for cheerleading as she is involved with three teams. She cheers on the sideline for the freshman football team, performs with Etowah’s Varsity competition team, and is a level five All-Star cheerleader at Stingrays.

Frederick is content with her family dynamic. She is an only child with no pets, but that means there is always room for a friend on family vacations.

“It can get lonely sometimes when you don’t have any siblings, but then I invite my friends over, and I don’t mind being the only child anymore”, she said.

Frederick is enjoying her first year at Etowah while incorporating hobbies both old and new. At the end of the day, she is happy with her life in every aspect.
