Avery Reece Godwin, an aspiring writer, channels her thoughts about faith and life issues through her blog. She would like to continue her blog, and possibly write a book in the future. In hopes of furthering her love for writing, she chose to take Journalism this year. 

“I want to write and have a way to reach people,” Godwin said. 

She remembers a defining moment three years ago, at a church camp, where she realized that in order to thrive and achieve her goals in life, she needed to have a strong relationship with God. 

“My main goal for my blog is to inform people about the word of God,” Godwin said. She has other goals as well, but this is very important to her. 

Godwin’s goals include learning to play the violin, studying abroad, and traveling. 

Because Godwin likes to make others feel good, a positive atmosphere and trust are two things important to her. Her faith, friends, family, and music provide her with a positive atmosphere. Godwin thinks her positive outlook makes it easier for her to focus on and achieve her goals. 

“If I feel something weighing heavily on my heart, I write about it. That is my coping mechanism. It gets all of my thoughts out, and I feel so refreshed afterwards,” Godwin says. 

Reece Godwin is living her life to the fullest and writing it down as she goes.
