Once an eagle, always and eagle
Keith Ball, principal, was not only an administrator, but a friend. From greeting students who walk the halls, to participating in school pep rallies, Ball is always enthusiastic.
Like most principals, Ball is optimistic, but there is something about him that sets him apart from the others. Is it that he is more involved with the students? Or maybe it is the fact that he signs his tweets with “KB” to give them a more personal touch.
Ball has been with the Cherokee County School District for 13 years and has been at Etowah for almost seven. From upgrading the campus to improving school test scores, he has truly touched Etowah with his magic.
Not only were the faculty and students upset about Balls resignation, but the parents were just as devastated. People were shocked when they first heard the news, but are very supportive of any decisions he makes.
I have only had the pleasure of having Ball as a principal for a year and a half, but I feel like I have known him longer. Every year when I was in middle school, he would host a pep rally encouraging kids to stay in school. He would go all out from the band playing to passing out graduation rags.
People are lucky to receive the help from Keith Ball and should be extremely grateful to be under his wing. #OneEagle
