It’s the thought that counts
With Christmas, Hanukkah, and Kwanzaa just this month, merry festivities and gift-giving bring people together. For those who did not score some sweet Black Friday deals, you are probably wondering how you can give your loved ones cool presents without breaking the bank. By making homemade gifts, you can save yourself a few extra bucks, and give more heartfelt presents.
For girls, a spa package is always appreciated. Eye masks, candles, nail polish, nail file, bath bombs, lip balm, hair mask, face mask, hand scrub, and even some chocolate. All of these things can be found at The Dollar Store, and any assortment of them works; not all items have to be used. Style your spa-in-a-jar to the person you are giving it to. Place all your items in a medium or large-sized mason jar, and tie a red ribbon around the lid to top it all off.
Handmade friendship bracelets also make great presents. There are lots of cute and easy designs easily found on the internet. Incorporate beads into the bracelet to make it more glamorous and appealing. Here are some cool ideas. Heartfelt letters are wonderful gifts, too. A handwritten reminder of how much they mean to you makes a person blessed.
Contrary to what many people think, socks actually make great Christmas presents. Fuzzy socks are the perfect piece to spice up an outfit, or even just wonderful feet warmers. Dollar stores have dozens of fuzzy socks, and Target has a bunch of holiday-themed socks in their dollar section. 5 Below also has a great selection of fuzzy socks.
Food or money also make great presents. Love to bake? Make some cookies, and fill a cute tin box with them. Buy a mason jar, and fill it with favorite candy or food, and slip some money in the middle. A delicious surprise. Or fill a goodie bag with sweet treats. Who does not love food and money?
There are plenty of unique and interesting gifts to give that will not leave you in the red. Homemade gifts that come from the heart are sure to hit their target every time.
