Not so busy break
It is so close. The feeling of relaxation. The taste of freedom. The anticipation of waking up without having to rush to class. Fall break is right around the corner. Not everyone is traveling on vacation over the break, so here are a few suggestions on how to make Towne Lake a little more interesting.
Kick off the fall season by visiting a basic pumpkin patch or a corn maze. Take a few friends or family members and enjoy some quality time by picking out the perfect pumpkin or getting lost in a maze of maize. These classic fall activities are bound to keep stay-cation entertaining.
Another way to stay busy is to schedule a scream screenfest. Get a group of friends together, or curl up on your bed solo and watch some classic horror films. Some scary thrillers are “The Conjuring,” “A Quiet Place,” “Insidious,” “Bird Box,” “Halloween,” “The Grudge,” or “A Nightmare on Elms Street.” These frightening flicks are sure to get everyone into the spooky spirit.
Looking for an adrenaline rush? September break is the perfect time to check out some of the haunted houses that are opening locally. Fright Fest at Six Flags Over Georgia opens on Saturday, Sept. 21, and Paranoia Haunted House opens on Friday, Sept. 27.
With these ideas, you are destined to have a terror-ific time. Your best friend may be heading down to Seaside for a tan, but that does not mean you cannot create your own fun here at home.
