Costumes for a Cause: Students dress up and donate
On Friday, Oct. 30, students showed up to school in costume to support Red Ribbon Week and Costumes for a Cause. Students paid $2 for an armband that allowed them to dress in Halloween costumes for the day. The proceeds from the event benefit the annual fundraiser, Shop with an Eagle, which supports local children in need with a holiday party, shopping trip, and gifts and food for their families on Dec. 5. Senior Taylor Wilson dressed as a Skeleton King for the event.
“The make-up took me an hour, but I like challenging make-up,” Wilson said. “It’s great that we can dress up and have fun and also give back to the children.”
