Bill Nye may be the science guy, but Paul Peterson is bringing his love for science to Eagle Mountain.

Peterson graduated from UGA. Before coming to Etowah, he taught at Pope High School in Cobb County. He wanted to come to Etowah because of our community, and the shorter drive to work.

“The students are awesome, and the staff has been very helpful and friendly,” Peterson said.

Peterson teaches his favorite subject, physical science. He taught it for many years before coming to Etowah.

“Science is the subject that helps explain the world around us,” Peterson said. This has encouraged him to teach, and it is why he enjoys physical science himself.

“Trying to learn the daily operation and protocol will take time to learn,” Peterson said. With time management weighing heavily on his mind, Peterson is still trying to get comfortable with his daily routine.

“I am grateful to everyone for making my transition into the Etowah family a very warm and friendly transition,” Peterson said.

In his free time, he enjoys playing soccer, cycling, and working in the yard.

With the help of students and staff, Peterson will feel like an Etowah Eagle in no time.
