Goodbye KB

After hearing the rumor that our dear principal KB would be leaving us, I was left dazed and confused. KB, to us and many other students, has truly kept the school as spirited as it has been. Without KB, Etowah  definitely would not have been as beautiful as it is, and not as successful as it is throughout county scores. He has improved Etowah tremendously; quite frankly, I doubt anyone can disagree with that. While offering over 20 new AP classes for Etowah, he was also able to provide the school with amazing facilities at Etowah East, as well as the Writing Across Curriculum Center. Any student or parent within the Etowah community will cherish all the time with our principal and will miss him truly.

However, understanding is a part of human emotions. That calls for understanding times of change, even if it goes against your personal feelings. To our principal, his family has been his rock, supporting him through any time of his life, even if they are thousands of miles away in New York. Even though he is leaving to be closer to his family, I hope he will send our last flight of Eagles out from the nest.

Passion overtakes obstacles in life, and that is truly what our principal has done. Providing Etowah with the absolute best he could, and changing Cherokee County for the best, I could not be more grateful for a principal as graceful and understanding as him. Thank you, KB.
